LNER A3 LOCO DICK TURPIN IN 7.25 GAUGE
By Tony Butler
Niget Gresley’s iconic A3 class locomotive surely needs little introduction with Flying Scotsman, no 4472, being probably the best-known locomotive in the world. Dick Turpin, LNER No 2579, was built a year after 4472 and also stayed in service for 40 years and the end of steam in the mod-60s . Countless A3 models have been made in all scales. This model is in 7.25” gauge and was shown at a London Model Engineering Exhibition by Tony Butler.
