Tom Pasco’s excellent model of the stately de Havilland Gipsy 1 aero engine. The model is a quarter scale version of a 1928 prototype. Gypsy 1 models based on the Les Chenery design are highly popular, even for a model that takes some building. Tom’s model was photographed at Harrogate and the Model Engineer Exhibition 2009, where it won a well-deserved silver medal.
