HALL’S ROTARY

ENGINE

Stewart Jackson displayed this model of the fascinating Hall’s Rotary Engine, dating from 1868. The piston is eccentrically mounted on the shaft and has a sealing vane like the Wankel engine. David Piddington designed this model and described it in Engineering in Miniature in 1987. The original engine was described in detail on MEWS here.
