ORTON &  SPOONER HELTER SKELTER

This helter skelter (lighthouse slip) model was displayed at Brighton Modelworld by John Manser of Hailsham in Sussex. It is based on an early 1920s fairground ride.

The full-sized Orton & Spooner ride was unusual in having two and a half turns of the chutes. An added bonus was that its height acted as a beacon to attract  people to travelling fairs. This fine model is to 1:12 scale.
