Pictured at Harrogate was this fine model by Tom Pasco. It is a 40cc four-stroke, 90 degree V-twin to his own design. It has a Cross type rotary valve, driven by bevel gears reducing to one-quarter engine speed. Connecting rods are of the ‘knife and fork’ type with plain big ends, lubricated by a gear pump that also supplies the top bevel gears. Ignition is a 6-volt transistorized system with a Hall effect trigger. The engine has run for two hours and has a speed range of 1000 to 7000 rpm driving a 20” x 8” propeller.
